Business Development Representative

Job Outline

As a crucial part of the Sales team, the Business Development Representative (BDR) will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding ABM Integrated Solutions client base. You will be responsible for working with the existing Sales and Customer Success teams to identify, prospect, and assess internal and external leads. In the BDR role you will also be relied upon to build and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders while continually assessing their changing business needs to be able to offer relevant services and products. It is critical in this role for you to be a ‘hunter’, have exceptional business insight, show professionalism, and have outstanding judgment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

-        Sell scalable technology solutions (Cloud, SaaS, Managed Services, Unified Communications, etc.) that offer strategic value to the customers’ business.

-        Prospect throughout the Maritimes to identify potential clients through various channels. E.g. cold-calling, e-mail campaigns, networking events.

-        Qualify internal and external leads to assess their business technology needs to determine what products and services they would benefit from.

-        Collaborate with the existing Sales and Customer Success Teams to develop and execute strategic sales campaigns and/or initiatives.

-        Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

-        5 -7 years of IT/Technology Sales Experience.

-        Strong understanding of IT/Technology solutions, products, and services with the ability to articulate technical information to a non-technical audience.

-        Excellent communication and proven negotiation skills.

-        Experience creating new client relationships and aligning corporate teams to uncover opportunities and develop solutions.

-        Demonstrate a detailed understanding of technology functionalities, features, & benefits.

-        Identify sector trends/drivers, understand key applications that solve business problems and deliver solutions that meet customers’ specific needs/requirements.

-        Create and maintain detailed and accurate sales plans.
